It is also extremely quick to put up which will be a pleasant surprise if you are used to clunky old tents. This is due to Marmot’s clever design tricks including the hub pole system basically you put the poles up and clip the tent to the poles then you throw over

the fly and clip that down, stake out the large vestibule and job done. Ok there is a little more to it than that but not a lot! Also the bare bones system allows the fly to be used on its own as a super quick/ super lightweight shelter, another clever trick from Marmot.

The Marmot Twilight has all the waterproofing you would expect from a 3 season tent including fully waterproof and seam taped fly and a fully waterproof floor with taped seams that are lifted off the ground in a bathtub style for extra protection.

The 2 large vestibules covering 21 square feet and 2 doors on the twilight give extra storage and practicality options. As do the included gear loft that simply clips on the inside of the top of the tent and allows you to store gear out of the way. There are many reasons that make this tent so good, one of the first is the ability to be put up super fast – just what you need when that storm hits you out of nowhere. Another of the best features of the alpinist is the weight at just 4lbs 15 oz it weighs in lighter than most of the competition.
